Information For Travelers About Koh Samui And Her Islands

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

Bakabung has a lovely area for relaxation and it is easy to delight in views of the island called as Koh Som (Orange Island). From our vantage position it is easy to plainly make out an extended golden strip of wonderful sand off to the right, the coconut palms expand across the Island just like a blanket, and the tops of the blanket like a spiky haircut. Left of this Island is a second known as Turtle island. It is much smaller, rather tiny actually and raised up higher, yet again its protected with Coconut palms. Away from our perspective, at the far area of Koh Som is a headland with cliffs right down to the rugged shore. From here there’s a simple viewing point made for the guests, completed with a drink station. Koh Som is planned for a luxurious 5 star resort, together with speed motorboats ferrying willing tourists to an Eco community without any vehicles, and simply electric powered golfing buggies to taxi its tourists around the island. It’s possible to Kayak from the shore at Plai Laem on Koh Samui to the island, there are also motorboats that can take anyone here for a small fee.
